"Doctors really put my son at ease"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was admitted with very bad constipation and unable to pass urine.

He was very quickly assessed by a nurse and admitted to the ward. He was seen by the Dr’s they were really lovely with my son, and really put him at ease.

They took a very thorough history and prescribed an enima. The nurse were very caring and helped us and helped him feel relaxed as possible.

On discharge they provided detailed info about his ongoing treatment at home.

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide this lovely feedback sextansfg83.

I am very glad you and your son had such a positive experience whilst under our care. We appreciate that admissions can be a scary and stressful time, therefore, its great to hear he felt at ease throughout his time with us. Navigating care at home, upon discharge, can sometimes feel daunting for parents and carers so I am glad you felt well equipped with detailed information for his ongoing treatment.

I will pass your kind words onto the team upon Caroline Thorpe Ward.

Best wishes,

Jess
