"Lack of actual support"

About: Adult Mental Health Community / IPS Futures Positive - City

(as a parent/guardian),

Hello, I want to share the story because we did not receive actual support and we wasted our time. This is about the support that my young adult son has been receiving, or rather what he has not been receiving.

He’s been meeting with one of the representatives every two weeks. However, some of the meetings have been rescheduled and after few months meeting with the representative he has not created any results. He has not been asked to or gone to any job interviews. Neither did he get any closer to getting an interview. I only heard about some amendments to his CV but there was no actual practice or sending CVs happening. He has been meeting with the representative for months and then he chose not to continue and not to receive the ‘support’. He is still unemployed and I don’t understand the purpose of ‘support’ with getting employment.

I would love for this system to change and make a difference in peoples' lives especially those affected by illness or disability.

Best regards.
