The hospital sent a letter about my cancer treatment to my GP but didn't send a copy to me. I called the reception on Thursday to get a copy, and they said I had to request it online, the same as booking an appointment. Then the doctor should review it and provide me with a copy.
This process is time-consuming for the doctors, me, and the reception for simply obtaining a copy of my own letter. I submitted the request online on Friday at 9 o'clock in the morning. The doctor then called me and asked why I wanted the letter, and she said it would be ready within half an hour.
I arrived at the reception at 3 pm, but the receptionist couldn't find the letter and said it might take time to print. Then she said the doctor was with patients, and I would have to wait.
As I'm writing this review, it’s 16.15, and I'm still waiting for one piece of paper. Is the doctor spending 1 hour and 15 minutes with one patient?
Who is not doing their job properly? The hospital, for not sending a copy to me? The doctor, for forgetting to print and pass it to reception? Or the receptionist, who can't find the letter?
Is people's time free to waste because of someone's mistake? Now, I’m at reception, and there are eight people waiting in the queue!!!
