in Early August 2024 I attended Ninewells Hospital Dundee to have an elective c-section for the birth of my second child. My son was born and i cannot thank the maternity staff from start to finish as they made my second birth a truly memorable experience. I’d like to personally thank Megan, Tina, and the surgeon Rachel who performed my section. Natalia and Erin the anaesthetists who were present calmed my nerves during this procedure after a trauma*tic birth with my daughter first time around .
Megan i cannot thank enough for the care and compassion she showed whilst looking after us all. My son was admitted to the NICU unit where he was treated for a week. Megan looked after me and kept in touch whilst i was going between the ward and NICU. She is truly a credit to her profession. I am very thankful i had her as my midwife.
The Nicu unit, i do not think there will be enough thank you’s in the world for what you did for my family. Aileen, Elaine, Toni, Sheena, Kelly, Danielle and Jen in transitional care and the rest of medical staff i would like to t thank you all. We are eternally grateful for all you did for our son and how you supported us during this time. You looked after myself, my husband and my family with the biggest hearts and were there when it was a very difficult situation. We were supported 24/7 and extended that to my daughter to make her feel at home when she visited her baby brother. Vivian is another i would like to thank you, without you i would not have made it home without your support and teachings in dealing with my mental health. It is a fantastic service you provide and i wish everyone could have a portion of time with Vivian as i feel this would improve the maternity services at Ninewells. You are all a credit to your departments and profession.
Again we cannot thank you enough.
