"Total hip replacements"

I had a total hip replacement on my right hip in  August, then had a total hip replacement on the left hip in October. My consultant was amazing, acknowledging that I was in a lot of pain due to the need of surgery on both hips, hence the 7 weeks between both operations. 

I had both operations at Grantham hospital. The level of care from all teams involved was exceptional. I felt at ease knowing that I would be treated with care, dignity, and respect. They understood my needs and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The staff on the surgical ward explained everything that was going to happen and provided me with everything I needed .This was also the case with the team of anaesthesiologists who again were exceptional. I saw my consultant following the operation who reassured me that the surgery went well. The surgery was complex and challenging with however I had full trust that it would be successful due to the high level of care given by everyone.
