"Their enthusiasm was infectious!"

About: Edinburgh Dental Institute / Orthodontics

(as a parent/guardian),

Great excitement in the Dental Hospital yesterday with the arrival of a new 3D scanner! My daughter was their first patient to have her mouth scanned after removal of her braces - the images go to the lab and will be used to make her a retainer - it saves the need for impressions to be done with traditional moulds. The bonus is also the amazing images you get to see of the teeth and mouth on screen.

The team were all great - special thanks to Carrie, Colin and all the dental nurses. Their enthusiasm was infectious!

The machine once rolled out will make a huge difference I am sure.

Dear Cafenn44,

Thank you so much for taking the time to publish your lovely story. We are all very excited about the Intra-Oral Scanners, and how exciting to read that your daughter was the very first patient in the Edinburgh Dental Institute to have a scan.

An accolade in itself, for all parties!

I will pass on your thanks to Carrie, Colin and the rest of the team.

Al the very best, and thanks again!.
