I was in a Mental Health Crisis and went with all intentions to end my own life. I was talked out of it and on the way back home called the Crisis Team. The person who answered was rude, blunt and didn't seem to care, they said they would have to inform the Police.
The Police were really helpful, understanding and had time to talk unlike the response I got from Crisis Team.
Again I am struggling with my Mental Health and called RDASH that was closed until 13:00. I then called the Crisis line at 09:00. Still at 14:00 I've had no reply when I clearly told the call handler I needed some support.
RDASH PCMH rang me back and just told me to go to A&E.
I don't need A&E.
I don't need the police.
I need to talk with a member of the Mental Health Team. This isn't the first time I've been let down and I'm disappointed. I see why so many don't make it and the service fails so many.
Next time I won't bother, I'm sure after I'm gone they will see the failures and poor care.
"Service failure"
