"Felt so calm during every appointment and scan"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Assisted Conception Services

(as a service user),

I just want to say how grateful I am for the ACS unit at Glasgow Royal. We had a very positive experience with them from start to finish. They are very thorough and kept me on stims for longer, which I believe has resulted in our positive result.

The nurses are a complete credit to the department. I was very nervous, however felt so calm during every appointment and scan. Nurse Claire is an angel and my husband and I are so grateful for her especially after my retrieval and before my transfer. Her advice, humour and care really kept us positive.

Both of my procedures were done by Dr Diaz. Him and his team are incredible and made me feel at ease.

We ended up with only one embryo, however it was a good grade and it’s now stuck. I am currently 12 weeks pregnant.

Although there is a long waiting time to start (nhs patient), I feel extremely lucky to have been under the care of GRI ACS and I would recommend their services.

Dear yellowdq47,

Firstly, congratulations on your pregnancy; and thank you for your wonderful feedback on our ACS team.

I am delighted you found them thorough, which you believe led to your positive result.

It is understandable to be nervous, so it is reassuring that the staff helped to keep you calm during your scan and appointments.

Claire will be pleased that you found her advice and humour kept both you and your husband positive.

It is wonderful to hear you feel extremely lucky to have been under the care of GRI ACS and I would recommend our services.

Good luck with your pregnancy and the arrival of your little miracle.

Kind regards,

Nikki
