Attended for flu covid vaccination in Tí Chulainn Mullaghbawn.

When I arrived at my given time there were a large number of people queuing.

Was told to sit in hallway as there were too many in main hall.

No order or system. People who arrived after me were in the standing queue before me. So a major problem with a large number of people standing waiting.

At the nurse station there was no privacy, I could see everyone getting their injection and arranging their clothing. I think there should have been a screen around each table.

I am very glad to receive both vaccines.

Good morning Maire,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this valued feedback on your recent experience. I am sorry that your experience was not to the standard we aim to provide for our service users. Unfortunately, whilst there were practice and trust staff available to assist on the day of the clinic, some patients arrived earlier than invited for their appointments. I can advise following receipt of your Care Opinion submission and having reviewed our processes, we made changes to the subsequent vaccination clinic held in Tí Chulainn Mullaghbawn on 16th October 2024. These changes included a numbered ticket for those waiting for vaccination so queue system could be managed equitably, additional seating inside the hall for those attending vaccination, reminding patients to come for vaccination at their allocated time and requesting key holders rearrange seating to ensure appropriate privacy for all those who attended.
