"They were all incredible"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Maternity care Raigmore Hospital / Maternity care Scottish Ambulance Service / Patient Transport Service

(as a service user),

Arrived at Dr Grays maternity ward in labour. The labour was very long and tiring, the staff could not have been more attentive/caring towards my husband and I.

We were transferred to Raigmore, Inverness which was the best thing for us in order to get the care required. The transfer was seemless and we were fully informed at all times of what was happening.

The midwife who went with Mum in the ambulance was great (Benny) held Mums hand and was there for the delivery and change over ward. Dr Grays was amazing and we were transferred back the same day for a couple of nights of rest and recouperation with new baby.

We saw so many midwives and staff there are too many to thank. They were all incredible.

Hello lynxzm79,

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us this lovely feedback.

I am delighted that your labour, birth and postnatal experience were so positive. It is lovely to hear you felt well cared for and fully informed at all times, particularly with the addition of a transfer during your labour.

It is also wonderful that you were able to come back to us here on Ward 3, DGH, for postnatal care and that you felt rested and recuperated after a long and tiring labour.

I will ensure your kind words are fed back to the staff here, particularly Beni.

I hope you are settling into life with your new addition.

Kindest regards,

Charlotte

Dear lynxzm79,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here on CareOpinion. Many congratulations on the arrival of your little one. I hope that you are feeling well and the little one is doing well too. It is great to hear positive stories about the work the wonderful staff of NHS Scotland provide.

If you wish I can pass on any feedback you wish to the crews directly. To do so we would need to know the date and rough time that the Ambulance attended and of course your name. This information can be sent to sas.feedback@nhs.scot for the team to pick up. If you do decide to do this, would you be so kind as to make reference to your CareOpinion username so that the team can easily locate your story and share it with the crew.

I wish you all the very best and thanks again.

Kind Regards

Alan

Dear lynxzm79,

Thank you for taking the time to share your fantastic feedback at a very busy time for you with a new family. It was such a pleasure to read of your positive experience and that all the staff and services you encountered across both NHS Grampian & NHS Highland afforded you seamless and informed care. Bene works across both boards and he was delighted to receive this feedback from you.

Thank you again for the positive feedback and hope you are settling into family life with your new baby,

Best wishes
