I recently visited Antrim Hospital and was told I had to have surgery which needed planning. It had to be planned and I had to come back for an appointment. At the return appointment I was told I had to be admitted to the Emergency Surgical Unit.
I thank the doctor - whose name is unknown to me - for his work and passing me on to EMSU in Antrim Hospital. Along the way Dr Wia and Rebekah greeted me and made me feel at ease for something I worried so much about. Rebekah went above and beyond for me and for someone so young she is such a great nurse.
Would like to thanks many nurses, particularly Ceira, who has been exceptional with aftercare and even problem solving my recovery, as it was complicated especially for recovering. Can’t thank Ceira enough.
I would like to thank my surgeon, Mr Mcaree, Motaz and his assistants in theatre, not to forget the lady responsible for my anaesthetic. Would like to thank other nurses such as Rachel, Kirsty, Sarah, Aishleen and everyone else who was involved from start to finish as my recovery is still ongoing, hopefully haven’t forgot about anyone.
The work carried out by everyone involved was fantastic and made me so proud of our NHS. Everyone excelled in their roles and I really can’t thank everyone enough. They’re real assets to our country in such a busy environment, I can’t imagine the pressure they are under yet still operate to the highest level. I will never forget the care I received and am forever in debt to the NHS. Keep up the great work guys.
