"A unique personal touch"

About: Public Dental Service / Gorbals Health Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

My son is autistic and going to the dentist is a traumatic experience full of sensory overload nightmares.

The staff went over and above to relax him. They remembered all his personal interests from his previous trip.

Through a unique personal touch they were able to coax him into completing his treatment.

Dear learningwh47

Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience with us. We understand that visiting the dentist can be particularly challenging for individuals with autism due to sensory sensitivities, and we're delighted to hear that our staff were able to help make your son's visit as comfortable as possible.

We are incredibly proud of our dental teams who go above and beyond to support the unique needs of every patient, and it's wonderful to hear that the team remembered your son's personal interests and used this knowledge to ease his anxiety. This personalised approach is key to helping all our patients feel more relaxed, especially in potentially stressful situations.

Your feedback highlights the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for all patients, and we will continue to strive towards making every visit a positive one for everyone, regardless of their individual needs.

Thank you again for your kind words it really means a lot to the staff.

Kind regards

Kevin
