"Now I can have a shower without any fear of falling"

About: Community Occupational Therapy / Kirkcaldy & Postural Management

(as a service user),

Gillian, Occupational Therapy Assistant. visited me in my home and arranged for aid fixtures to be applied to help me with my mobility around the house. She also had a hand rail installed in the bathroom to make getting in and out of the shower.

She had a small stool put in to the shower so now I can have a shower without any fear of falling.

I would like to thank her for all her help

Dear piscespf44

Thank you for taking the time to provide the Community Occupational Therapy service with your feedback. So, I am delighted to learn that your experiences have been so positive and that Gillian has been able to help promote your safety and independence with showering and other activities within your home.

I have passed on your very positive feedback and grateful thanks to Gillian, who is absolutely delighted that she was able to help you and make such a difference to how you are managing at home. Your feedback is a real morale boost both for Gillian and our team of dedicated Community OT staff. So, thank you again for sharing your story with us. It is great to know that we have been able to help and make such a difference in enabling you to safely and independently access and use your shower..

We wish you all the very best for the future, but should you or anyone you know require our services in the future, then please do not hesitate to get in touch to make a referral through the Social Work Contact Centre.

Best Wishes, Neil
