I have the upmost respect for these nurses. I went through a once in a lifetime admission for possible self neglect/addiction on all parts mine included as well as the GPs in our locality.
I decided to withdraw all medications I was prescribed and sadly acquired although not illegally! I decided no more. These medications actually numb our thought processes and how to function.
Those nurses in ward 8 at Glasgow Royal Infirmary are a credit. Suffering from all stigmatised illnesses and eating disorders, not one made me feel a lesser person and I'm glad I'm still totally focused on my health.
Healthcare assistants were great too but there is an odd one in the camp that makes you feel worthless. I never let cloud my judgement of what these nurses do and are approached with. They are all saints x
