"Hours of waiting "

About: Royal United Hospital

I brought my son to the Emergency & Accident department after he had an allergic reaction. He was initially given antihistamines and his observations were checked. However, no one reassessed him for the next four hours, and the waiting time to see a doctor was also four hours. By the time a doctor was available, his temperature had risen to 39.0°C. He was given paracetamol, but after that, nothing was done for another two hours.
