About: Beacon Medical Group

Had to cancel these due to going into hospital for gall bladder removal. Surgery unable to allocate me any future date. Told to book appointment with local chemist. Think this is poor practice making the patient book up somewhere else .

Dear David, thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that we were unable to offer you an alternative appointment. We vaccinate over 6000 patients each flu year, at the moment our flu clinics are fully booked. We do have a waiting list as we do get last minute cancellations and patients who do not turn up to their appointment. This means we are able to contact patients when appointments become available. You should have been offered to be added to our waiting list and we also signpost to other services which have vaccination stock and appointments available. I will speak to our teams to check that we are offering the waiting list option. Thank you for providing feedback.

Regards

Emma
