About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

After a very stressful couple of days of my son being unwell and seeing 2 other health professionals, we found ourselves begging to be referred to the hospital to help us treat our son's dangerously high fever.

When we arrived at the children's we came under the care of Dr. Bulut. As parents we can not stress enough how amazing the care was this night. We were so stressed of days of treatment with no improvement and 2 misdiagnosis. In the children's hospital every single member of staff was kind, helpful and supportive of our situation. We never felt like we were left hanging and everyone cared so much.

Particularly our doctor was very understanding, patient, great with our son in mannerism and treatment. We were sat down and everything was explained to us to help us manage at home and a diagnosis was given and also follow up was arranged. We were also given worsening advice and what to look out for. As first time parents who were at breaking point we were totally supported and our son given great care.

Caring for an unwell child, especially when faced with uncertainty and previous misdiagnoses, can be incredibly difficult, so it’s heartening to know that Dr Bulut and the entire team at the children’s hospital were able to provide the care, understanding, and reassurance that you needed.
