I have recently spent 2 nights on the Nightingale Ward with my little 17 month old boy.
We had a really positive experience from all the staff we came across and really appreciated the kindness and care we were given.
I wanted to take the time to leave feedback for a student nurse there called Amory.
Amory was so warm and kind, and went to so much effort to make my little one feel more comfortable in a strange environment. He become a bit upset whenever he saw hospital staff after having his cannula put in - after Amory took some time to interact with him and bring him a bear he became so much more comfortable and happier with the other checks and procedures he had to have.
She really stood out as she got down face to face whenever she talked to him and was so genuine.
I think I takes a very special person to care for families/little ones at such a difficult time and I think Amory will be a very special nurse.
I hope this feedback gets back to her/her manager as I’m sure the day to day is very busy/stressful as a nurse but those extra moments can make have a big impact.
Thank you Amory for taking that extra bit of care and having a such a big impact on our time on Nightingale Ward.
