"They were absolutely lovely, an asset to the medical profession"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I have had 2 carpal decompression procedures this year at Cannock Chase Hospital.

The first was in May, and the second in September.

From being greeted at main reception in foyer to the reception in the Hollybank Ward all staff are very professional, welcoming and friendly.

My experience in theater each time was a friendly, relaxing environment, considering the nature of the visit!! Where although there is the highest professional decorum maintained throughout there's still a sense of calm and interest in patients who are awake during procedures.

After my procedure each time the nurse assigned to me gave 150%, whether it was checking I was comfortable, or just asking if I required a drink, the level of care on Hollybank is very refreshing!!

The 2 nurses who took care of me were called Esther and Lara, they were absolutely lovely and an asset to the medical profession, very kind, friendly and genuinely cared, thank you ladies for all the hardwork you and all the staff on the ward do!!
