"The staff did everything they could to make him feel at ease"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Dental Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a service user),

My little boy was in the children’s assessment unit at forth valley hospital for a dental procedure under general anaesthetic.  The care both him and I received was flawless.  He was so upset and nervous and the staff did everything they could to make him feel at ease and make sure he understood using language that was easier for a child to understand.

The support they gave me when he was put to sleep was so caring and empathetic.  I can’t thank everyone enough. Huge well done!

Dear Louiseb13

Thank you for taking the time to share such lovely feedback with us after your visit to our Paediatric Daycare Unit with your son.

It can be such a worrying time to bring your child into hospital, I am delighted to hear the staff were great with your son and put him at ease.

I do hope he is continuing to recover well.

I will share your feedback with the staff in the unit, it will give them a real boost.

Kind regards

Karen Macfarlane
