"I will be forever grateful for all of the support"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Stroke Unit (Ward 11)

(as a relative),

My mum had a stroke as an inpatient in another ward and transferred to ward 11 in Wishaw and Thrombolysed. Despite quick assessment and treatment, sadly mum passes away a week following her stroke.

While I have lots of concerns regarding mum's care prior to transfer to ward 11, I must thank her Stroke Consultants Dr Barber and Dr Micallef for their medical input and kindness.

The nurses in the ward looked after both mum and the family so well and I will be forever grateful for all of the support and hugs.

I would like to especially mention Liz, Marie-Claire, Maureen, Jean and Gail as well as all the night shift that tried to make sure mum was as pain free as possible, the night before she died.

Good Afternoon centaurusqd83

I am so sorry for your loss and thank you for the time you have taken to comment on your mums care at this sad time. I will pass your comments onto the team in ward 11.

Thanks Sharon
