"I have been treated with respect"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire Mental Health Services / Adult Mental Health Services

(as the patient),

I want to give positive feedback about the service I received from Dr Talluri - consultant psychiatrist who I have seen at Woodstock Medical and Carluke Health Centre in High Mill.

I have never contacted GP services/NHS regarding mental health before so understandably I was a little anxious with my first few appointments with Dr Talluri.

With the negative press, stigma and social media surge around ADHD it is something I keep to myself and somewhat shy away from. Unfortunately I have received some poor experiences surrounding my medication and diagnosis’s from health care professionals in the past which adds to my nerves when I have to seek help/appointments/medication regarding my ADHD. 

However, I have been treated with respect, empathy, knowledge and true professionalism each time I have met with Dr Talluri. You can tell he takes a genuine interest and talks through different options to make an informed decision together. I also want to give mention to Nanette who works alongside Dr Talluri with the secretary aspect who is very helpful and kind. 

Whilst all the negative stories seem to be the focus on a lot of people’s minds, I do hope people see this and of course Dr Talluri himself.
