(as the patient),

I had blood tests and scans, and I was advised I would need abdominal surgery which happened the same day.

As an NHS employee, it was a strange experience being the patient. I have experienced fantastic care and compassion at every step.

Special thanks to D9 staff, theatre staff, anaesthetists, Jane and all the Gynae team for all their care and support.
