"Hospital admission in the middle of the night"

About: Arran War Memorial Hospital

(as the patient),

It was 1:45 am and I recognised that my heart had gone into AF so my wife and I dove to Lamlash Hospital where the door was opened with the greeting - What are you doing here?

I was assessed, plugged into a monitor, immediately hooked up for an electrolyte infusion and informed that I was dehydrated and that my kidneys were dry  - hence the AF.

The doctor was reassuring, and scared as I was I was told that I was in the best place. My heart rate slowly dropped to near normal and after two days I was discharged feeling so much better.

My heart went into regular rhythm shortly after leaving the hospital. The care I received was just outstanding; the food was excellent and everyone was so helpful Thank you so much.
