Vaccination Centre Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy
The centre is not signposted until immediately outside the door, and once inside there is no signage at all directing people: everything says Podiatry.
There is limited parking available, even for Blue Badge holders, and there were cars trying to drop people off round a chaotic one way system.
The nearest bus stop is an optimistic five minutes walk from the centre. The nearest public car park is ten minutes walk away.
I felt not enough thought and care had gone into providing adequate provision for the users: mostly elderly, many infirm, a number unable to walk far. Especially as this was the first day of its use, there should have been better signage and directions, and possibly extra personnel to direct and reassure the patients.
The nursing staff were having to take the frustrations of the patients, and as a patient myself, I felt the poor arrangements added an unpleasant and unnecessary element of stress to us all.
"There should have been better signage and directions"
