I was taken by ambulance into hospital because my oxygen levels were low and I was finding it hard to breathe. It was suspected that I may have had pneumonia.
Once in the hospital, after spending 10 minutes on a trolley, I was taken into majors where I was put into a chair, after that for the next 10 hours I was left unattended. No one monitored my oxygen levels. No one asked me how I was. No one gave me any food or water. I had to ask a cleaner to get me some water in the middle of of the night.
I told several members of staff that I was feeling extremely unwell and absolutely nothing was done. I wasn’t even asked if I was warm enough or needed any drink or anything.
I spent the worst 10 hours of my life sitting so uncomfortable, desperate to lay down and sleep with a temperature, low oxygen levels.
I don't think this level of care is acceptable. Thank goodness I had nothing more serious than a viral chest infection with underlying asthma, I have never felt so mistreated in my life.
