"Patient Communication"

About: The Village Practice

If online repeat prescription items that are ordered and then rejected by the practice, a courtesy call to the patient letting them know would be great. To find out when picking up from the chemist items are missing, to then have to investigate why when you have severe mobility restrictions, to then have to wait for the item to be prescribed again and another visit to the chemist, quite traumatic and unnecessary pain suffered. Another occasion 2 months ago, did a respiratory test with nurse and told gp would phone me with results, did not happen, I had a text from chemist saying prescription ready and I collected an itnhaler not knowing what was wrong with me etc, quite shocking. Makes me feel like I'm not worthy or worth caring about. Care, compassion, courtesy and communication is important.
