"Care and compassion from all the staff"

About: Medicine for the Elderly

(as a relative),

Mum was very well cared for in the elderly ward. She became poorly and required end of life care and passed away peacefully with care and compassion from all the staff . 

The staff made sure mum was comfortable and the family were okay too. Every process was explained in a clear and caring manner at such a difficult time. It helped us cope with what was happening and what the outcome would be. 

From the HCA, to the nurses and medical staff mum could not have been better cared for .

I am so very sorry for your loss.

It is so nice to hear of the compassionate care and support you and your family experienced as we cared for your Mum in her last days of life. We fully recognise and understand how important the time you had with your Mum was as she approached the end of her life. It is a privilege as nurses to be involved during what we know to be a terribly sad yet somehow special time. We all recognise that.

Feedback influences the care we give, and I shall share yours with all of the team. I know it will mean a great deal to them to hear that their care was valued by you and your family and that what we did and how we cared and kept you informed made a difference.
