I had a surgical abortion today at MSI Manchester and had a really positive experience. From the moment of my first consultation to being checked out after the procedure, all of the staff were so lovely, warm, friendly and helpful. Even though I knew this is what I wanted, I found the idea of the procedure very upsetting and overwhelming, and all of the staff comforted me and made me feel at ease and never judged.
The procedure itself was very quick, with minimal waiting times and I was able to come home an hour after. They gave me a heat pad and some painkillers (and biscuits) and I am doing okay. The clinic also offered counselling before and after having the surgery.
I really hope all of the staff here know how much the job they do is appreciated, and just how much it helps that they make such a difficult time feel so much easier. Thank you.
