"They supported us throughout that initial very difficult period"

About: Community Mental Health Services / Mental Health Acute Assessment and Treatment Service (MHAATS)

(as a relative),

Family member became acutely unwell and referred to MHAATS team by GP.

It was an incredibly scary time for us a family and the support and professionalism shown by the team was utterly amazing.  We had daily contact, access to the Team out with if needed and also speedy access to a psychiatrist.

The nursing team were superb.  They were non judgemental, caring, compassionate and so supportive and I'm not sure how we would have coped without them.  They didn't appear in any rush to discharge us and  ensured we had the support until we felt we could manage without.

We haven't forgotten as a family how much the MHAATS supported us throughout that initial very difficult period.  Great job and sincere thanks from a grateful patient and family.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of MHAATS. I'm delighted to see how positive it was and I will share this with the team today. As you know they work very hard to provide a high quality service to everyone they see and this sort of feedback helps the team keep their morale up and maintain their high standards.

I hope your relative is continuing to make a good recovery and that you are all doing well as a family.

Take care,
