"Staff make it better "

About: East Surrey Hospital

Admitted via the Holmwood unit which is a good one stop service for hearts. Hospital feels very dated and processes are as one would expect from a public service, especially under Starmer's rule. The discharge process couldn't be worse if they tried, takes 9 hours from being told you're going home to receiving the meds you need.

Lots of waiting round generally during my stay, and wasted resources. The whole thing needs an overhaul with some proper business minded managers.

The only saving grace is the staff were on the whole very very helpful and caring.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for your comments surrounding your visit to Holmwood ward at East Surrey Hospital.

I am sorry to read of the discharge wait you endured relating to obtaining medication. Boots Pharmacy is currently being fully refurbished to meet the needs of the rising number of patients and to create a more comfortable and efficient service.

There have also been various ward renovations happening around the hospital and so in time we hope to modernise all areas.

I am pleased to read that you found the staff helpful and caring, it means so much to hear those words. Thank you again for sharing your experience.
