Case review carried out by Julie, home care assessor today for my uncle. My uncle has a terminal illness and can be challenging in behaviour for homecare staff due to disinhibition. Julie has a great understanding of my uncles needs and how to manage his challenging behaviour at home. With a service provider arranged through Julie and team my uncle receives consistency in his care needs at home and consistent approach in managing his behaviour. Julie has an excellent professional knowledgeable approach and explains in plain terminology to my uncle on what services there is within Angus to meet my uncles needs. Julie fully explained the criteria for homecare services and the eligibility criteria and provided written information on matter along with SDS Self Directed Support. Julie carried out a comprehensive review today and as a family we felt reassured my uncles case is in great hands of Julie within review team and Julie has kindly explored day service options. My uncle is very pleased with services provided and he felt Julie provided ample time during review to enable him to express his health and social needs. Julie is a great asset to Angus Health and Social Care with a wide knowledge of skills and most importantly excellent listening skills and showed a lot of empathy to uncle while he explored his chronic terminal health conditions.
