"Excellent specialist nurse"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Oncology unit

(as the patient),

Over the past five years I have been in contact with Helen, specialist cancer at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Falkirk.

I first met Helen while waiting for endoscopy appt and she introduced herself as the new specialised nurse. Since then various contacts, when Helen has been very professional, pleasant and going over and above her duties.

She is always reassuring and ensuring that I was given valuable advice and help.  Even recently she arranged scans, followed up by results. At that point my daughter was seriously ill in a Glasgow hospital and she remembered this and asked how things were. Compassionate and it shows that she treats everyone as an individual.

She is a very worthy member of Oncology and deserves recognition for her professional work.

Dear Fast track,

Thank you for taking the time to provide such wonderful feedback, I will ensure that Helen sees this. It is good to hear that Helen has made such an difference to you during times that can be difficult and that you have been treated as an individual. This is something that I know is vitally important. Helen is a very valuable member of staff and is recognised by all who know and work with her.

Take care

Susan
