"My journey with MoveAhead"

About: Community Mental Health / Move Ahead - Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Service

(as a service user),

Leanne has tried to help find things that may help me be more socially active. We have been to Renew Cafe, Walking groups and Nature Groups. She has one or two other things in the pipeline for me to try.

The beauty of these things is that there is NO pressure to go. Leanne always has a chat with me afterwards and listens and takes on board my feedback.

This makes the interactions a lot better for me, because I can freely express my honest opinion.

I find social interaction really difficult, but Leanne is making it a little bit easier.

Dear guidewm88

Thank you so much for taking time to share your story. My name is Pam Lamond and I am the Senior Charge Nurse for MoveAhead.

I am pleased to hear that Leanne has been supporting you to find things that will help you become more socially active. It sounds like social interaction is difficult for you, therefore it is so important that you have support from someone you can be honest with and who listens actively to your feedback. I will pass on your positive comments to Leanne.

It is lovely to hear that Leanne is making things a bit easier for you and I wish you all the best for a positive and supportive recovery journey with MoveAhead.
