"The care he received by all the staff was excellent"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Radiology

(as a relative),

We attended A&E at UH Wishaw as my uncle had acute abdominal pain. He was triaged by a male nurse and male CSW who were very kind efficient and caring.

They quickly assessed he was unwell and moved him into the department. He was then attended to by a lovely doctor who explained everything well and efficiently made a plan of investigation and treatment. He had a CT scan and the staff in radiology were lovely and explained the procedure to him.

The scan showed acute cholecystitis which the doctor explained to him using easy to understand terminology. This was a Saturday night in an extremely busy department and the care he received by all the staff was excellent.

Thank you to all the staff who looked after him.

Dear Juking

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent experience of attending University Hospital Wishaw with your uncle. I am please to hear that the nurses, doctors and radiology staff were kind and caring and that everything in relation to his assessment, investigation and treatment was explained clearly to him. I will pass on your kind feedback to the staff and I am sure they will be delighted to receive it.

I hope your uncle is now recovering well at home.
