"Prompt and reassuring care"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Acute Stroke Unit (Ward 6) University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department University Hospital Hairmyres / Medicine for the Older Adult (wards 13 - 16)

(as the patient),

I was referred to A&E at Hairmyres Hospital in January following a TIA. I received prompt and reassuring care, followed up by Dr Higgins, consultant Physician, Medicine for Older Adults and Stroke Services, who promptly arranged CT scans, Ultrasounds and MRI scan, etc.

All staff who carried out these procedures were reassuring and caring and ongoing supportive contact has been provided by Stroke Nurse Elaine.

I would like to thank Dr Higgins and his team for their caring and professional support.

Dear venussb65

Thank you for sharing your experience of Hairmyres A&E Department.

It can be a worrying time attending A&E but I am pleased to hear you received prompt and reassuring care from Dr Higgins and his team.

I look forward to passing your kind words to the whole team who will get a real boost from hearing your feedback.

I hope you are recovering well.

Kind Regards,

Eileen
