"Monday walk in"

About: Barnstaple Health Centre / Barnstaple Sexual Health

(as the patient),

I went in on a Monday walk in session (I’m 15 so I was nervous and my mum came with me) I’ve been before but I normally go to the walk in for under 18’s.

As soon as I walked in the women at the desk was very welcoming and kind. After I filled in paperwork I sat down for less then five mins and another woman took me to do my height, weight and blood pressure (I can’t remember her name) she was lovely and bubbly and made me feel very comfortable.

Less then 15 mins later a women called Katie took me into a private room to discuss my BC pills she was lovely and welcoming, she was very kind and bubbly, joking and helping me to feel comfortable. She checked to make sure I understood everything again and made sure that I was comfortable and happy.

Overall I had a lovely experience and the wait time was extremely short!

Dear Anonymous 3143

Thank you for taking time to provide feedback following your visit to the Monday clinic. It is wonderful to read that you had such a positive experience from the receptionist to the nurse you discussed your contraception pills with. I will forward your lovely feedback to the rest of the team.

If you need any advice or a further appointment in the future please don't hesitate to call us on 0300 303 3989 or visit our website www.devonsexualhealth.nhs.uk where it is also possible to set up an online PHR account where you can also book appointments from.

Kind regards

Sally
