"Sent home...to deal with it myself"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / General surgery Pilgrim Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

After a operation in Lincoln county hospital I was kept in longer due to pain and sickness then sent home to recover.  However, it got painful again and vomiting started so I went to Pilgrim a&e. They was quick to give meds and tests then contacted Lincoln for advice. But was sent home with medication...still in the same pain and nausea/vomiting only to deal with it myself. This experience has made me get to the point of rather than preventing problems I'm going to either get over this or leave it until it's a major problem (probably dehydration).

Spukemonkey,

Thank you for providing feedback following your attendance to Pilgrim Emergency Department. Its great to hear that the department was responsive in ensuring you received medications promptly and ensured that we gained advice from your post op team..

I anticipate that your post op team at Lincoln will be able to advice you further with your recovery.

Thank you again for your valuable feedback.
