"A wonderful team"

About: Cancer Services / IV & Oral SACT Treatment (Chemotherapy)

(as a service user),

I’ve recently ended my latest sessions of chemotherapy, which this time took place over three months.

I’ve attended previously over the past two years and I wanted to ensure that you know how wonderful the team here are. Led by Dr Sanders, my care team and treatment plan has been a speedy and efficient experience characterised by many acts of kindness. “Medic Mouse” (my mascot throughout my two years of oncology and surgical treatment) accompanied me on every visit as usual.

The nursing team were simply wonderful, with Laura, Lucy, Carly and their colleagues providing constant professional and kind care.  I was touched by their kindness on every visit, to all of us. My friends often ask if the chemo unit is a depressing place to visit, given my disease. Well it simply isn’t, in fact it is quite the opposite. It is a jolly and warm unit to visit with very engaged and caring staff.

I cannot praise these lovely folk too much: from the leaders to the whole team, nurses, health care professionals and support staff they simply look after you brilliantly. I’m in awe of their dedication and kindness.

Thank you.

Dear Happyscot,

Thank you for sharing such a lovely description of your experience attending the chemo unit Ward32.

I am pleased that your experience was so positive, I have shared your feedback with the whole team, and they will be delighted to hear such lovely words to describe the team.

We wish you all the best for the future and a big hello & hug to "Medic Mouse" from the team.

Take care.
