"Made my stay very comfortable"

About: Respiratory Medicine / Complex Pulmonary Infection Team (CPIT) Respiratory Medicine / Respiratory (Inpatients) Ward 3

(as the patient),

I went to Ninewells Hospital Dundee for a random appointment, I had been quite ill the few days leading up to my appointment, and it was just as well I had the appointment as I was more ill than I thought. My GP had been trying to get me to go into hospital but, I just kept saying no. But I ended up saying that I would go in as a day patient so that I could be in the comfort of my own house at nights.

But this appointment was a bit different. I was a bit late for my appointment due to the usual parking issues at Ninewells Hospital, I must've spun around 3 or 4 times trying to find a parking space but they were all full so I ended up parking in the pick-up/drop-off point as I thought I'd just be in and right out again.

How wrong was I this time? I ended up being admitted as an inpatient, my arms and legs were quite swollen + I was also quite breathless. I was in the vascular clinic on the right wing of the hospital. Then, a very nice porter pushed me in a wheelchair to ward 3 on the left wing of the hospital, to the respiratory ward. After getting some needles poked & pushed into me for, blood tests, injections etc...it turned out that I had pulmonary embolisms (blood clots in my arms & legs that had spread to my lungs).

I suppose I could've died if it wasn't for the brilliant doctors at Ninewells and especially the team of nurses in the ward. I was in ward 3 for 5 days and the nurses were great with me, it's probably due to them, and the doctors, that I'm still alive, as many people have died in the past with pulmonary embolisms!

I just wanted to thank everyone who was involved in my case, especially the nurses in ward 3, who made my stay very comfortable, thank you very much.

I got 3 parking tickets while I was in the hospital and the nurses in ward 3 told me to go online and appeal the tickets to Saba parking services and the nurses actually gave me a signed piece of paper asking Saba parking services saying to please rip the parking tickets up. But my appeal was unsuccessful and I had to pay the parking tickets when I could've died in the hospital. Saba Parking Services have no empathy or compassion or understanding, but the nurses in ward 3 are great and I just want to say that.

If you're going into ward 3 Ninewells Hospital then rest assured that you'll be well looked after. Thanks again to the whole staff in ward 3, Ninewells hospital, with my highest regards!!!!!❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+⭐️💪🏼💎😎👍🏼
