"After 2 years of being ill I was diagnosed with Myositis"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Occupational Therapy

(as a service user),

I had been ill and my mobility was worsening, the strength in my muscles was diminishing and I could do less and less each week.

The situation was being investigated by my GP, and I was sent to various specialists.

Eventually I was diagnosed with Myositis, a rare side effect of Statins.

I was treated by a Neurologist, and spent some time in the QEUH, where I was advised to contact my local Occupational Therapy department. To see if there was any help out there for me, and my mobility issues.

Sarah came to visit me, when I was at my lowest ebb. Sarah was a great help, and suggested a few things that would improve my quality of life, as I was going through this journey.

I cannot speak highly enough of Sarah and what she can help provide for people.
