"My treatment was exemplary"

About: County Hospital Louth / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

As part of the bowel cancer program offered to 70-year-olds, I had a colonoscopy at Lincoln County Hospital in 2021.

I had some large polyps removed and as a result, was invited back for another colonoscopy after 3 years.

Those 3 years were up last month and I duly received the invitation.

This time I had a choice of hospitals so I chose Louth because it is more convenient for me.

Five stars to Louth Hospital as my treatment was exemplary, from parking my car (£2 for all day) to leaving.

I was met with smiles and a welcome I would normally expect only from relatives.

The procedure went smoothly and I felt comfortable throughout.

The staff were reassuring, chatty and very friendly.

Afterwards, I was treated to tea and biscuits whilst I was considered to be fit enough to drive myself home.

Well done to all the staff at Louth Colonoscopy Unit for your professionalism and friendliness.

Dear redsy58

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us following your visit to the Endoscopy suite at Louth Hospital. I was so pleased to read how welcoming, friendly and professional the team were. I have shared your lovely feedback with our Endoscopy Sister and have asked her to pass your kind words onto the staff involved.

Kind regards,

Carolann, Endoscopy Matron
