I was referred to the breast clinic by my GP after finding a couple of lumps under my arm. The referral letter came very quickly, less than 2 weeks after I had seen the GP, and the appointment was in a week's time.
I've recently had that appointment at Inverclyde Royal breast clinic, having had a consultation with the doctor, a mammogram and an ultrasound and every single staff member there was fantastic.
It was clear they were very busy and working in a pressurised environment, but everyone was so efficient and yet took the time to be reassuring, especially the staff member doing the mammogram when I told her I was anxious.
It was so appreciated especially when I could see how busy they were and I hope this feedback makes its way back to them.
