"They all understand how pain can affect your life."

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital / Pain Management

(as the patient),

I’ve been under the Pain Clinic for the past 10 years. After a serious road accident on Valentine’s Day, I was left with constant pain in my lower back and hips.

All the members of the pain Team Clinic, are supportive and understand how pain can affect your life.

The most important thing to me was the honesty the doctor told me what was wrong and I wouldn’t be getting any better. This honesty has helped me as we can work on what I can do rather than what I can’t do or rather change how I do things.

Dear moonts43,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your story. I am sorry to hear that you were involved in a serious road accident and you have been left with constant pain in your back and hips. This must have been a life changing experience for you and a lot to come to terms with. I am pleased that you feel that honesty from the doctor helped you deal with what the future holds. I am also pleased to read that the team in the Pain Clinic have been understanding and supportive.

With kind regards
