"Head injury"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I was helping a friend dismantle a shed. One of the people was hitting a roofing sheet up with a 12lb sledgehammer, while another freed it from the top. It suddenly came free and the sledgehammer dropped from 1.5m onto the top of my head.

On attending the RAH in Paisley, the 2x Michelle's in Minor Injuries attended to me. Their care and attention was as it should be. They had time and space to see, clean and stitch me up. Their manner was fantastic, very personable and caring, while highly professional too.

Thank you for their care and help.

Dear Colin637

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Care Opinion and for recognising the efforts of our Emergency Nurse Practitioners, Michelle(s). It's great feedback that I will share with the whole team and ensure both Michelle's see your post.

I'm sure your friend was glad of your help on the job, but what a fright that must have been when it went wrong. I'm delighted the team got you sorted and in the manner to which this was achieved.

Wishing you well.

Gerry
