"The care provided was totally awesome and unforgettable"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency Lincoln County Hospital / Cardiology Lincoln County Hospital / Medical emergency assessment unit (MEAU)

(as the patient),

In mid September whilst at home, early in the morning. I felt unwell,  just not right. I went to work, from work came to the hospital assisted by colleagues. This was approx 9am.

I went to A&E where I was attended to immediately, had an ECG,  and blood tests. I was taken into majors and was told that I had had a heart attack, shocked to say the least. Lauren, from Cardiology explained in detail the next steps with Empathy and a natural support.

I was admitted to the MAEU ward,  I stayed there for 1 night when I was transferred to the short stay Cardiac Unit. Over the weekend the attention, care , comfort and my needs were attended to without compromise. The attention to my needs was unforgettable and amazing.

I had a procedure a few days later which realised a 95% blocked artery. The cause of my Heart Attack.

The team doing the treatment, kept me informed throughout, reassured me consistently and when asked always made me feel confident.

The aftercare, the attention to detail, the friendliness and the care provided was totally awesome and unforgettable.

Thank you so much
