Yesterday I had cause to take my sister to an appointment, unfortunately she had just come out of hospital having had an operation in Turkey. We travelled home and wanted to see doctor to address the medication she had been given, from which she was having unpleasant side effects. We were slightly delayed due to both her symptoms and the school traffic arriving 9 minutes late. The doctor refused to see her. There was no one in the waiting room. I explained regarding the traffic and one of the 3 ladies who were in the reception area replied “you need to take the school traffic into consideration, I have to everyday I come into work”. This did not improve the situation at all. I actually thought her attitude was abysmal. And perhaps a warning should be given to patients booking appointments re the school traffic because if you are delayed they won’t see you. I requested an appointment today from the receptionist who said you can’t make an appointment here you have to ring up. Unbelievable really I am standing here with my 68 year old sister feeling extremely poorly you won’t see her and you won’t make an appointment for her for the following day. This surgery used to be an excellent practice, it has been declining over the last few years. It has previously been in special measures if it’s not back in them then it certainly should be. I am appalled by their lack of care. I would not recommend this practice and have today contacted 111 who will endeavour to make an appointment for her to speak to someone. What again was concerning they didn’t appear to be surprised by this in anyway.
"Poor service"
