"They told me I had to book, which I didn't know"

About: Inpatient (AMH) / Brodsworth ward

(as a friend),

I was visiting a friend on Brodsworth ward.

I arrived to visit to be greeted by a support worker. They told me I had to book which I didn’t know.

I felt they were also very rude. Commenting that I had to take into account the other 19 people on the ward.

It made the person I was visiting feel guilty that I had got into “trouble”. This fed into their poor mental health.

In the near future we will be launching an updated visitors handbook, which we would welcome you to be part of developing, getting it right is important to us.

Please continue to let us know how we are doing going forward. All feedback on the experience of those who visit our acute inpatient wards is valuable to us.
