"There's no continuity and opinions seem to differ"

About: General practices in Fife

(as the patient),

I attended my appointment with the nurse to have my BP and a blood sample taken. I'm a bit squeamish giving blood but the nurse was very relaxed and professional, and took the blood sample without causing any pain whatsoever. Found the artery straight away. I explained that I had changed my gout medication and my high blood pressure tablets and that was why we needed these checks. The blood sample will show if my uric acid has reduced in which case , the pains that I am feeling in my hands, arms and shoulders will be caused by something else.

I've been in discomfort and pain for the last six to eight weeks while we test out the medication. I cannot seem to get a proper diagnosis for my pains which I'm suspecting might be rheumatoid arthritis. The reason, simply, seems to be that I do not have a designated doctor that I can speak to.

When I do get a face to face appointment with a doctor, it is a different doctor from the previous one. There's no continuity and opinions seem to differ.
