"Staff should be commended for their friendly diligence"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

On admission to the GP Referral Unit I was weak, debilitated and distressed by nausea  and vomiting.

Blood tests revealed low serum potassium, so effervescent oral suspension prescribed.

Nurses Natalie and Lesley went out of their way to reassure and provide assistance; I'm so grateful to them.

Dr Prasad, Consultant Physician, reviewed my case with Nurse Natalie and I'll be discharged provided latest blood tests permit.

I'd like to commend Dr Prasad for his friendly, approachable demeanour and his valuable advice.

All in all, a very positive experience: I was dreading this admission, having had a very negative experience elsewhere in 2018. But the organisation at Ayr Hospital is the best I've encountered and the staff should be commended for their friendly diligence and professionalism.

I wish more doctors would emulate Dr Prasad.
